I can't sleep for no reason!!!

In honor of this I think I will quote the movie Insomnia:

Det. Ellie Burr: "A good cop can't sleep because he's missing a piece of the puzzle. And a bad cop can't sleep because his conscience won't let him."

- Insomnia

"Let me sleep"
- Insomnia (Dormer's dying words...)

that movie was weird...

anyways

I love anyone who actually read those :)

    <lj:music>Let me go (3 doors down)</lj:music>

i watched the movie Capote yesterday...

it was really great

i have noticed something:
When movies are made about a person on death row i am actually more moved when the person is guilty than when they are innocent.

i always want the person to live and not because they are innocent or truely changed but because- they are human. It is so easy to read about a murderer in the paper & let your heart reach out to the victim and their family. What a monster could do such a thing? But the person is never a monster and there is always a reason.

When a person argues that a lot of people on death row are innocent that person is wrong. (the law is set up where many more guilty people walk than innocent people die) still every person on death row is a person

Why do we kill people who kill people to show that killing people is wrong?

    <lj:music>Seasons of love- RENT</lj:music>

Well since i no longer watch the OC i decided it was time to change my icon, so i changed it to the cherries- which then looked horrible with my purple and turquis background- so i changed it to redish. Then i thought to myself what do cherries have to do with me- so i changed the name of my live journal.
I was in the mood for a change anyways...

well here are some quotes:

"Look around! You couldn't find a whiter, safer or better lit part of this city. But this white woman sees two black guys, who look like UCLA students, strolling down the sidewalk and her reaction is blind fear. I mean, look at us! Are we dressed like gangbangers? Do we look threatening? No. Fact, if anybody should be scared, it's us: the only two black faces surrounded by a sea of over-caffeinated white people, patrolled by the triggerhappy LAPD. So, why aren't we scared?"
"Because we have guns?"
"You could be right."
- Crash (man you have got to see that movie; it is funny and also really touching)

Just something to think about:
"Love is blind; friendship closes its eyes." -unknown

I luv u all tons & thanks for always closing your eyes
xxx
Lauren
